Rafah crossing to reopen for Gazan returnees Monday: Palestinian embassy

The Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip will reopen on Monday to allow Palestinians residing in Egypt who wish to return to Gaza to pass, the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo announced on Saturday.

The embassy urged Palestinians wishing to return to register their personal information, adding that it will contact applicants to inform them of the gathering points and travel schedules to the Rafah crossing.

Palestinian sources told Xinhua that the Rafah crossing will reopen in both directions, with priority given to those wounded in the war and to holders of Egyptian passports inside Gaza.

Houthis storm UN compound in Yemen's Sanaa

Members of Yemen's Houthi group stormed a United Nations compound in the capital Sanaa on Saturday, detaining several UN staff, said a Yemeni security official.

The official, who requested anonymity, said that armed members of the Houthi security and intelligence unit forced their way into the United Nations Common Accommodation Facility in Sanaa and detained several employees.

The Houthi members also confiscated the UN staff's mobile phones and began interrogating employees from UN offices in Yemen.

Israel hands over bodies of 15 Palestinians to Gaza: health authorities

The Gaza-based health authorities said Saturday that Israel handed over the bodies of 15 Palestinians to Gaza through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as part of the prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.

The transfer brings to 135 the total number of bodies returned from Israel, the health authorities said in a press statement.

The authorities confirmed that their medical teams continue to handle the bodies in accordance with approved medical procedures and protocols before handing them over to the families.

Netanyahu says to run for PM again in Israel's 2026 elections

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Saturday that he will run for office again in the 2026 parliamentary elections.

He made the announcement during an interview with Israel's Channel 14, where he was asked if he intends to seek another term. "Yes," he replied.

Cambodia deports 64 South Korean online scam suspects

Cambodia deported 64 South Korean online scam suspects, including five women, to their birth country on Friday night, said a news release from Cambodia's Ad-Hoc Committee to Combat Online Scams on Saturday.

The suspects were expelled from the kingdom through the Techo International Airport in southern Kandal province, the news release said, adding that the group would face legal action in South Korea.

"They were deported to their birth country after the authorities found that they were involved in online fraud," the news release said.

Over 70 terrorists killed as Pakistan airstrikes Afghan border areas: Pakistani army

Over 70 terrorists were killed after Pakistan conducted aerial strikes against a faction of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the border areas of Afghanistan, security sources said.

The precision strikes against terrorists of a faction of TTP were undertaken at the border areas of North Waziristan and South Waziristan districts of Pakistan on the basis of confirmed intelligence, sources told Xinhua on Saturday.

During the strikes, more than 70 terrorists, including their leadership, have been killed, said the sources, adding that despite the ceasefire, TTP terrorists launched multiple attacks in several areas of Pakistan.
