AMMAN -- Jordan said on Thursday it sent Israel a memo via diplomatic channels, urging Israel to respect the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and stop all violations there.
Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Deifallah Al-Fayez denounced the continued Israeli "violations" against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the most recent of which was Israel's allowing hundreds of Jewish extremists to storm the mosque on Thursday. (Jordan-Israel)

ANKARA -- Turkey told Greece that Ankara is ready to host the fourth meeting for confidence-building measures between the two neighbors, semi-official Anadolu Agency reported Thursday.
"We notified the other party that we are ready to hold the fourth meeting in Ankara. We expect the Greek side to attend these meetings," Defense Minister Hulusi Akar told reporters late Wednesday in Ankara. (Turkey-Greece)

TEHRAN -- Total coronavirus infections in Iran hit 301,530 on Thursday after registration of 2,621 new cases overnight, according to the state TV.
